Responsibilities

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop user-facing web applications and components with a focus on robustness, security, modularity, and maintainability.

You will collaborate closely with other team members, including back-end developers and UX/UI designers, ensuring seamless coordination. Your dedication to effective communication, teamwork in a remote setting, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality product are essential for success in this role.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of fan engagement in Spectator Sports.

  • Develop user-facing apps with React.js & Next.js for web apps, browser extensions and mobile.
  • Construct modular, reusable components & libraries.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers & designers for technical guidance on feature feasibility.
  • Implement automated testing in development & maintenance workflows.
  • Stay current with JavaScript & Next.js developments; propose upgrades & updates.
  • Monitor security updates & issues in Next.js and project dependencies.
  • Establish development processes & practices to support scalable growth.
Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Frontend Engineer in a tech-focused product-driven firm.
  • Proficiency in front-end development with a particular emphasis on experience utilizing Framer Motion for dynamic, high-impact user interfaces.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, and core Next.js features.
  • Knowledge of CSS and HTML5, including semantic markup and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), modern frontend development tools and working with RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with responsive design, frontend testing methodologies (Jest, React Testing Library), and strong communication/collaboration skills.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience using CSS-in-JS solutions (Styled Components, Emotion) and state management libraries.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience with GraphQL, advanced Next.js features (dynamic imports), and testing libraries/frameworks (Cypress).
  • Familiarity with agile development environments and project management tools.
