Now, we are building an internal product, an AI-powered technical assessment platform, that helps HR personnel to assess technical capability of software engineer candidates quickly, easily and accurately. Guess what, you will be the first member of this tech team!

Product overview:

• HR uploads their JD
• Platform generates a technical assessment based on the given JD
• Candidate completes the assessment on our platform
• Platform grades the submissions and send a report to HR

Set up the technical foundation and build the application from scratch

• Architect, design, and develop the technical foundation for our new application from scratch, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and security. Our priority now is speed so a medium functional technical foundation is okay for now.
• Collaborate with our product owner and UX/UI designer to understand the requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Lead the end-to-end development process, including frontend (ReactJS) and backend development (NodeJS), database design, and integration of external services and APIs.
• Deploy the application and ensure the application’s availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to optimize application performance.

Must-have:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• At least 5 years of both front-end (ReactJS) and back-end development (NodeJS)
• Familiar with building applications from scratch
• Comfortable with very small teams

Good-to-have:

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating with external services and APIs.
• Proficiency in database design and management using MongoDB and Redis.
• At least an intermediate understanding of system design and architecture
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially DigitalOcean, and experience deploying applications using containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Can communicate in English
